When I need a quick and easy appetizer to bring to a party, I always bring dill dip! This recipe is so easy to whip together. If only they knew how EASY it was to make this. It’s better than store bought, is made with simple ingredients and is super creamy and delicious!
Dill dip is a really great appetizer that can be made any time of year and for any occasion. It only requires a handful of ingredients, all of which are readily available, and even better, it goes with pretty much anything you can think of. It’s great for snacking on veggies, as well as pretzels and chips! Homemade or bakery bread is also a delicious food to dip into it!

- Medium sized mixing bowl
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Mixing spoon
- Airtight container
HOW TO MAKE EASY DILL DIP
In a mixing bowl, simply add in all your ingredients and mix together! Seriously, that’s it.
Refrigerate the dip for 2-3 hours, or overnight, to let the flavors develop, and you’re ready to serve! If you’re making it for the week to take to work or snack on at home, simply keep it in an airtight container for up to a week!
NOTES
- If you’re looking to cut calories, replace the sour cream with plain low fat Greek yogurt or use my homemade yogurt recipe that’s full of probiotics!
- Swap the mayonnaise for a lower calorie or olive oil mayo for a healthier option.
- If using fresh dill, use about 2 tbs chopped.

- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp dill weed
- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours or overnight.
- Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy!
