Learn how to clean grout and restore it to its former glory with this 3 ingredient DIY grout cleaner.
In my adult life, I’ve never lived in a place that had grout, until now. We have tile in our entry way, which you can imagine gets very dirty, very quickly, and in half of our bathroom. So I decided to trek into unknown territory and clean my tile and grout. Because I always try a more natural method of cleaning first before turning to harsher cleaners, I decided to make my own DIY grout cleaner with some ingredients I had on hand. I was pleasantly surprised by how great it cleaned my grout and changed the look of the tile for the better!
Now, I’m not going to lie, cleaning grout does take a bit of elbow grease and some time spent on the floor, but it’s something that hopefully doesn’t need to be done very often. And once everything has been cleaned and dried, it’s really fun to see the fruits of your labor. Learn how to make your own grout cleaner with only three ingredients you probably already have on hand.

Can this be used on colored grout or just white grout?
thesimplehomeplace says
You can definitely use this on colored grout. If you’re concerned about any bleaching effects, you can omit the peroxide if you want, but it should be okay!

I love your grout cleaning recipe. Here’s another one to work on. Now seal your grout next, to protect your grout cleaning job. Not sure what the recipe would be but maybe you could figure out the recipe to that and post it!!! Thanks for the ideas.
