DIY fall pumpkin floral decor is super simple to make and creates a beautiful fall aesthetic to your home.
Pumpkin decor is always the rage every fall and for good reason. It brings a bit of harvest season vibe and can be customized in many different ways to fit with the look you’re going for. One inexpensive way to incorporate pumpkin decor into your home is by using Dollar Tree materials. If you’ve visited the Dollar Tree recently, you probably know that their fall line is out and in full force. They’ve got so many different and adorable fall decor that mimics that of Hobby Lobby and Michaels (although it’s not as good quality). They’ve even introduced velvet pumpkins, glass decor, signs and much more.
Although DIY pumpkin floral decor isn’t a new and original idea, I like to think that the execution is what makes it special. By using Dollar Tree styrofoam pumpkins and faux flowers, you can achieve a really beautiful piece of fall decor that can be customized to fit the look you’re going for. It’s also fun to be creative and do a little crafting!

HOW TO MAKE DIY FALL PUMPKIN FLORAL DECOR
Start by cutting the styrofoam pumpkin around the top with a box cutter, almost like you’re carving a real pumpkin.
Scoop out the inside of the pumpkin with your hands about 2 inches down.
Paint the outside of the pumpkin with 2-3 coats of acrylic paint and allow it to dry completely.
Cut your faux flowers down to individual stems, leaving a couple inches of the stem.
Push the faux flowers into the opening of the pumpkin and arrange how you see fit.
NOTES
- Don’t use spray paint on these DIY fall pumpkins because the paint will dissolve the styrofoam.
- Instead of painting these pumpkins, try covering them with fabric instead for a more farmhouse style.
